Welcome to Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church
We're glad you're here! We hope that PHPC can become a safe place for you to go on a challenging journey. As you initiate this spiritual adventure, we want to join you on the way. Whether you're exploring faith or coming back after time away, ready to dive deeper into a relationship with Christ, or you want to make a difference in our world, many of us are in the same place. We don't have all the answers, but we sense God is changing lives here in a special way . . . and we hope you'll be part of it!

Lenten Series on Monday mornings at PHPC
Leader: Nancy Nutter, DCE
We will begin Living with the Mind of Christ on March 3, 2014 at 9:30am in the Thompson parlor. This is a seven week course on Paul’s letter to the church in Philippe. We will explore Chapter 2 together and seek to change minds as Paul describes in this passage. We will look at other New Testament writings along the theme of being of the same mind as Christ, having the same love, being in full accord and of the same mind. This is a message for the church today as well as the church in Philippe. We face diminishing interest in mainline dominations and the ways we have always done church. How do we reach people today?
Let’s focus on Jesus and how his example has taught us. Let’s focus on Easter by spending time in study during Lent. Let’s pray through our prayer journal during these weeks together to see what the Lord is doing.
Monday evenings at 7pm starting March 3, 2014 Leader: Mary Bosco
The Truth Project is a DVD-based small group curriculum comprised of 13 one-hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett. This home study is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective. Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance of living the Christian worldview in daily life. Today’s believers live very similarly to non-believers. A personal sense of significance is rarely experienced, we spend our money and time on things that fail to satisfy and we begin to wonder what life's ultimate purpose really is.
We are excited to announce that Pleasant Hill Church will be hosting Bridges out of Poverty on March 28th and 29th.
Bridges Out of Poverty is a seminar that reveals the profound differences between the survival-based culture of poverty, the achievement-based culture of middle class, and the connections-based culture of wealth. You’ll also learn how to build relationships across those cultures that help people in poverty move toward economic stability.
The seminar will be held Friday, March 28th from 5:30 to 9:00 pm and Saturday, November 2nd from 5 pm in the Dining Room of the Youth Building. Dinner will be provided Friday evening.
The program is free but there is a $20.00 cost for the book. Seating is limited!
